Lecture #1

Yes, I do indeed realise we are coming up to week 3, but let us backtrack to the very first journalism lecture in week one.
I have found that introductory lectures are somewhat a misinterpretation of what's in store for the course to follow, however with jour1111, the nail was pretty much smashed in the face on what's in store, what journalism is; jam-packed with swell quotes from various people about the profession.
I particularly like the concept of journalism as being 'the first rough drafts of history' and think that makes complete and utter sense. Being a student of political science and history majors, I thought that was pretty neat-o.
